Round Dance
Round Dance is very similar to Ballroom Dance. The main difference is that the dances are choreographed ahead of time, and a cuer leads the couples by announcing the figures as the couples are dancing.
Round Dancers do not need to think about what move they will perform next; they can relax and follow the directions of the cuer. This helps to eliminate the concern of watching out for other dancers on the floor. All the couples execute the same figures as they dance in a circle around the room.
Round Dance rhythms include Waltz, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Foxtrot, Jive, Two-Step, Tango, Bolero, Slow Two-Step and Mambo.
You do not need any prior dance experience in order to learn Round Dance. You do not need to have a partner. Other dancers will partner with you to be sure you are able to participate.
Round Dance is an experience that is certain to enhance your life!
